HoopleCast is an introcast-style podcast for HBO's Deadwood. The format is similar to PotentialCast, FisherCast, Intro To X, Down Below, IdjitCast, Investigating Mars... and other great podcasts. (For a full list of introcasts click here.)

The premise: The host (Matt) has seen Deadwood previously. His cohosts have not. Each installment we discuss characters, plot, themes, and the true history of the infamous 19th century mining camp. We will encourage feedback for each episode (in written or audio form) and offer opportunities for our listeners (both new and veteran watchers) to guest host. Recurring segments include character of the week, notable quotations, and episode ratings.

If you have never seen Deadwood before this podcast will be your opportunity to take the journey with other new viewers. If you are a veteran viewer then this podcast is your excuse to rewatch one of television's finest programs--but, please, NO SPOILERS!
